In 1999, a purchasing office was set up in Taiwan, China to procure Chinese books in support of our book retail business. The areas of focus for POPULAR Taiwan include purchasing Taiwanese books in Traditional Chinese, making recommendations of suitable titles for adaptation, and exporting a variety of Chinese titles to support the demand at our retail outlets. POPULAR Taiwan also seeks to promote new and renowned authors to Southeast Asia and Greater China.
